About Our Reiki Healing Service

Reiki is a Japanese technique used for healing, stress reduction, and to promote relaxation. The Japanese have been using this practice for thousands of years to balance their life force energy. It has been documented and proven by science, that all living things possess an invisible life force energy. In recent years, western doctors and the medical field have begun to understand the importance of maintaining balance in our energy to support a healthy immune system.

Reiki is a hands-on method of holistic healing, where positive energy is brought on by a practitioner and passed through to the person in need, for the purpose of healing. The positive energy passes through each of the seven major energy centers or chakras (pronounced shock-rahs) and targets where it is needed most. This is not healing through massage or physical therapy. Rather it is guided, positive, universal love energy, which overcomes negative energies built up by problems that have developed in the body either by physical or emotional issues.

All problems in the body, whether caused by illness or injury, are centered around negative energy. Reiki overcomes the negative energy with positive energy – to help the person feel better, and in some, the problems can be completely alleviated. Reiki has been known to reduce and alleviate pain, discomfort, and disease and has been used on a wide range of major diseases.

What to Expect

Your session will begin with a brief verbal assessment. I find it helpful to know where your mind, body, and spirit are prior to beginning the transfer of energy. The passing of healing energies begins first with the head, then follows to each chakra, the knees, and the feet, moving down the front of the body and back up.  You will feel relaxed, calm, and at peace throughout the duration of your session.
